Opening Blog – who? what? why?

I am totally new to the world of ‘blogging’ but I thought why not since I have plenty of spare time at present and it may be a good type of ‘therapy’ to help get things off my chest.

The who: I am currently unemployed, soon waiting to start work. I’m a 24 year old man with 2 Children who stay with me a few nights a week. I am happily engaged with a loving Fiance. I am a huge fan of gaming and martial arts. I took on a different perspective of the world once I resigned from my previous job as a residential care worker for young children in care. My mind was a lot clearer from the pressure taken off me from a career that was taking over my life and making me mentally and physically ill. At the start of this year (Jan 5th 2013), I dislocated my ankle and fractured my fibula taking part in MMA (mixed martial arts). Whilst off my feet and unable to move much I got interested in Politics and Psychology both of which I wish to study. Now I am better I am ¬†generally getting on with life by getting myself ready for work, looking after my kids and seeing family and friends.

The what: One day I may share an alternative/realistic view on the world another day I may leave you thinking and I might just have a rant. All of this will be over a variety of subjects such as: My life, a family member or a friend (names will remain confidential or aliases will be used. I will notify and ask permission if I can blog about a person beforehand), it could be something on the TV, or maybe an everyday object i.e. a lamp.

The why: Please do not think for one moment that I am some type of self centered bigot. I’m not going to pretend that everything I say is correct, but will base my opinions on as much of a factual basis as I possibly can. I have an open mind and some I say may be controversial, but I am happy to discuss my blogs. As previously stated; this is a type of therapy for me. I’d just like to blow some steam, share some knowledge, share some stories, open a discussion and get to know some new people.

Thank you for taking the time to read my opening blog
